Clarence and Mary Ann Crider have been staples of the local music community for years. For the last 40 they have broadcast a gospel program out of Willow Springs. They have been performers at the Current River Opry, Summersville, for the past 35 years. Both are songwriters as well as musicians. Mary Ann has a powerful and beautiful singing voice that has gained her the title "Queen of the Current River Opry." Clarence plays an interesting style of electric guitar. When asked about his influences, he said, "I started out listening to Merle Travis and Chet Atkins, but I've been playin' this thing for over 50 years. So I guess there's a whole lot of Clarence Crider in there too."
